There's something about the lines of the wrought iron gate, the bare vines of the wisteria waiting for spring to sprout blossoms and the lines of the bricks that seems to tie all of these seemingly disparate pieces together. There is a beauty to the starkness of it all. Come spring, this wall will be teeming with life as it is covered with purple blossoms and buzzing bees. The bricks will barely be visible. The attention will be on the magnificence of the blooming wisteria. The gate will most likely not even be noticed.
